From stills to video: Shutterstock-style content

Some clients need more than one format from a single shoot: stills for catalogs and stock, video for social and ads. We planned a production that delivered both without doubling the budget. The idea is simple: the same setup, the same talent, and the same lighting can yield a set of hero images and a set of video clips — as long as we plan the shots so that key moments work as standalone frames and as part of a sequence.

Photo and video production
One shoot — stills and motion.

One crew, two outputs: We shot with a hybrid approach — moments that work as key frames for photography and as clips for video. We’d lock a composition, shoot stills, then roll video for a few seconds so we had a clean clip for the edit. Lighting and styling were consistent so the stills and the video felt like one family. That way the client gets a unified look across catalogs, stock libraries, and social content.

Behind the scenes filming

Post: Photos were retouched and delivered in the resolutions required for stock (and for print if needed). Video was edited in short clips (5–15 s) and longer cuts (30–60 s) for different uses — social, ads, or website. We also provided a simple grid or reel that combined both formats so the client could showcase the range in one place.

This approach is ideal for product brands, lifestyle labels, and anyone building a library of professional assets. You can see the project and the type of content we delivered in the case below.
